Grazie Paolo and Claudio!
Katacoda was a nice tool for interactive tutorials, it is a pity that it
was discontinued.
However, since the content of the tutorials is in Markdown format, it is
easy to publish them to other platforms, as you have done with MkDocs.
I have been thinking of doing the same as well, but could not find time yet
for doing it. I am planning to give it a try with Docusaurus (which I have
never used before). When I finish it, I will let you know. Maybe it will be
possible to support multi-language content, so that the English and the
Italian version are published at the same place.
After that, maybe I will start the online course once more, if there are
people interested in participating. I hope that recording this time will be
better.
What you have done (translating them) makes me more interested in getting
this work done.
Thanks again,
Dashamir

Here is the course, published with Docusaurus:
I don't master yet all the features of Docusaurus, but as I learn more, I
will try to improve it. Any suggestions for improvements are appreciated.
In particular, I don't know yet how to add the Italian content side-by-side
to the English content (I know that Docusaurus supports it). But an easy
way would be to clone the repo fs.al / Courses / Linux CLI · GitLab
and to customize the url-s on the config file (
docusaurus.config.js · main · fs.al / Courses / Linux CLI · GitLab).
However the translation that is published at
Indice - is already nice and maybe we
don't have to do this.
One of the improvements that I intend to try in the future is including a
virtual terminal on the browser, so that users don't have to install
anything in order to try the commands. There are some possible solutions
that I may try:
- containers on browser demo
- https://webassembly.sh/
I am also thinking about starting the online course again, maybe 2-3
hours/lessons per week. This will also help me to refine the content of the
course (because it was developed for katacoda, and now the environment
where the commands are tried may be a bit different, for example some
packages may need to be installed). But I am not sure whether summer is a
suitable time for this. Do you have any suggestions?
Regards,
Dashamir
