Digital Travel Credentials

Hi,

An African country is already using verifiable credentials and digital
wallets to facilitate traveling for the tourists:

SITA, in collaboration with Indicio, has introduced a solution for
verifiable credentials in digital travel for the government of Aruba.
Leveraging blockchain technology, the partnership aims to streamline the
travel experience by securely verifying passengers' digital credentials,
such as vaccination records, using decentralized identity technology. This
solution allows travelers to store and share their credentials through a
digital wallet, eliminating the need for manual checks and enhancing
efficiency and security in the travel ecosystem.

Interesting, isn't it? I didn't even know that there was a country in
Africa, named "Aruba"

Hi, Dashamir!

Actually, Aruba is a Caribbean Island controlled by the Netherlands. So
the whole technology is Dutch (or American, sold to the Dutch) and
Aruba is a practical testing site because it's small, with few entry
points.

Aruba is also the name of the most important Italian identity provider.
"A ruba" in Italian means that something is so popular that people
would steal it.
