La notizia e' di per se ottima, ma occorre verificare se e' richiesto
lo stesso il pagamento delle licenze MS. Se Lenovo permette di ordinare
le piattaforme senza Win e senza licenze e' perfetto!

... il laptop depll con preinstallato ubuntu, (ne avevo comperato due pezzi in due occasioni per 350 euro), era ordinabile solo da dell germania.

Thanks for the article. It's really time for this to happen. The same should be done by other companies. Acer for example, one of the few computer manufacturers that reimburses the licence price of the installed client OS to the customers with a simple procedure I followed it twice with success: https://www.acer.com/ac/it/IT/content/rimborso
They could also go one step further and offer their PCs with GNU/Linux on board.
Resellers are already doing this because there's demand from customers.
Consip, the national public company held by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, when starting call for tenders for PCs & laptops, always asks that the devices be sold with both operating systems. The difference in price is typically around 100 €. Take a look here at this very new agreement published this month.

Getting back to the article you sent, I noticed that the "other operating system" is never mentioned with its name but with the phrase "an existing client OS"

e, in particolare, del modello di business utilizzato da Canonical. Senza
Ubuntu - imho - Linux non avrebbe raggiunto la visibilità pubblioca che ha
oggi.

La differenza tra "precaricato" e "certificato" non è chiarita.
Agendo sul configuratore la selezione di Linux non è disponibile e quindi

Anni fa all'universita era l'iniziativa u:book dove avevano sempre anche
dei notebook senza licenza Windows a prezzo piú basso.
