On 22 September 2024, the 193 member states of the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York adopted the Pact for the Future, a landmark declaration that sets out concrete measures for a safer, more peaceful, more sustainable and more inclusive world for the generations of tomorrow.
The Compact for the Future includes (among many other measures) the
Global Digital Compact, a worldwide commitment to ensure that digital technologies contribute to sustainable development and human rights and human rights, while addressing risks such as digital divides, cybersecurity and misuse of technology.
The Global Digital Compact is a comprehensive framework for the global governance of digital technologies and artificial intelligence.
